Loan Servicing Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Servicing Specialist to support daily operations in a high-volume lending environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate servicing of mortgage loans, providing excellent internal and external customer support, and maintaining compliance with multiple investor and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings experience in financial services or credit union environments and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

This role is fully onsite in Spokane, Washington.

Loan Servicing Specialist Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day mortgage servicing activities, including payoff processing, new loan boarding, billing, reconveyances, and error resolution.
  • Manage escrow functions such as tax and insurance payments, annual analyses, and PMI and flood insurance monitoring.
  • Process adjustments and notices for loan types including ARM and balloon mortgages, and support activities like re-amortizations and SCRA tracking.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, providing timely and accurate information to resolve account-related questions.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and investor regulations (e.g., FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, FHA, VA, RD), following established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements, ensure continuous workflow, and maintain high service quality standards.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training to support collaboration and cross-functional learning.
  • Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and a strong commitment to organizational values and regulatory compliance.

Loan Servicing Specialist Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in banking, loan servicing, or a related financial services environment.
  • Advanced working knowledge of mortgage loan functions, documentation, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and familiarity with loan servicing or proprietary banking systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive customer situations professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and committed to maintaining compliance and accuracy in all servicing activities.

Compensation: $22/hr.
