Java Engineer
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Java Engineer to join their team in developing a critical Consumer Bot Mitigation and Fairness platform. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where you will drive the delivery of high-quality services, ensuring a consistent, scalable, and premium experience for passionate members and consumers.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon. Exceptional remote candidates may be considered.

Java Engineer Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance the Consumer Bot Mitigation and Fairness platform to provide premium experiences for the organization’s most coveted products.
  • Drive the team in delivering innovative, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
  • Ensure software quality through hands-on coding, testing, and advocating for best practices in development.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and build solutions that exceed consumer expectations.
  • Design and implement microservice architecture, focusing on scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-impact software.
  • Utilize cloud technologies (preferably AWS) for deploying and maintaining distributed systems.
  • Implement and maintain NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB for optimal performance and scalability.
  • Incorporate continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests into the development process.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance using tools like Splunk, SignalFx, or New Relic.
  • Maintain a keen focus on application security, with particular attention to bot detection, analysis, and mitigation.

Java Engineer Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on coding skills.
  • Extensive experience in microservice architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful APIs using Java or Node.js.
  • Proven ability to work in a distributed/cloud-based environment (AWS preferred).
  • Strong experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
  • Deep knowledge of modern build strategies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and tracing tools such as Splunk, SignalFx, and New Relic.
  • Experience with Springboot-based Java services and scalable commerce/payment platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in information security and bot mitigation is a strong plus.

Compensation: $61.33/hr. (DOE)
