IT Manager
Our client is seeking an IT Manager to join their team. Under minimal supervision, the IT Manager is responsible for the systems administrative functions and technical support of the company’s application, hardware, and supporting technologies. The position performs technical support and maintenance of company technologies including Windows, Linux, Cisco, VMWare, and some applications support. Additionally, this position coordinates with customers, vendors, and business resources to resolve complex technical issues and ensures overall system health, data security, and system integrity.

Responsibilities
Work with key stakeholders, various vendors, and IT management to understand business and systems requirements.
Recommend design solutions to meet business requirements.
Monitor performance of technical infrastructure (software and hardware) and provide recommendations for technology upgrades and replacements.
Design, implement, and manage network server software and hardware.
Design, implement, and monitor security controls.
Determine appropriateness of system changes or modifications.
Supervise the activities of on-site vendors and/or technicians.
Conduct daily security monitoring activities.
Provide technical support and user training for all activities.
Prepare technical reports and instruction manuals.
Keep up to date on new, emerging technologies.
Coordinate small to medium size projects.
Regularly audit site-based hardware for upgrades and replacement schedule.
Create and maintain hardware and software upgrade and replacement schedule based on manufacture recommendations.
Shop products and provide hardware/software recommendations to manager and executive team to ensure cost control mechanisms are utilized.
Maintain office equipment such as copiers, phone systems, and any other technology used at Corporate office; regularly schedule preventative maintenance.
Manage and monitor IT support request ticket system to allow for service tracking and IT requests management.
Provide guidance and instruction to IT team members in partnership with IT Manager to ensure support tickets are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel requirements vary, but may be up to 10% of the time
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Computer Science, MIS, or any Engineering field or MIS.
Four or more years direct relevant experience working with systems, software and hardware relevant to needs.
Additionally, experience in these areas are preferred: Microsoft Windows Server technologies: MS Deployment Server, Active Directory, VMware virtual infrastructure environment, Remote Desktop Tools, TCP/IP and its use in a LAN / WAN / MAN environment, Cisco voice and/or data networking platforms, NetApp storage and /or SAN storage platforms, Server hardware platforms, A+ certification, Cabling, ability to troubleshoot and enhance in-house written applications. Time management, analytical, project management, and organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as listening skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to provide effective change-management skills with regard to technology upgrades that will effectuate change to support the client goals.
Valid Driver’s License and insurance is required.
Ability to operate basic office equipment such as telephones, keyboards, 10 key, photocopier, and fax machine. . Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. Good working knowledge of various infrastructure technologies, communication protocols, and networking operating systems. Ability to learn new applications.
Salary: $60,000-$85,000k/yr. (DOE)
