IT Infrastructure Manager
Our client is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to manage and support their IT infrastructure, network operations, and services. Planning and proactive management of IT infrastructure, services and security is paramount. You will manage the IT Help desk, network, and server administration staff and put processes in place to maintain high systems uptime and service levels agreement. You'll maintain clear tested policies and procedures for backup and recoverability of all data and infrastructure.

This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.

IT Infrastructure Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain clear procedures and successfully tested execution of backup and recoverability of data and infrastructure.
  • Maintain an effective Disaster Recovery Plan which includes quarterly/annual testing.
  • Manage security practices for the company's data and infrastructure, both on premise, and cloud, in accordance with security policies and procedures.
  • Proactively monitor all system access for irregularities. Re-access security practices and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Own the development of IT operations policies and procedures. Maintain a service catalogue of all systems and services.
  • Manage installations and maintenance of all compute resources.
  • Follow a strict system change management process for all infrastructure, business systems, network equipment and cloud services.
  • Help ensure SOX compliance for all IT systems.
  • Support ITIL framework by providing input to problem and change management process. Monitor and maintain published and agreed upon SLA's.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers, providing solutions whenever needed (24hrs/day 7 days/week).
  • Continuously improve the customer experience and present a clear point of contact to business users to request IT services, IT support, and IT emergency contacts.
  • Partner with external vendors for successful outcomes to projects and implementations.
  • Participate in the contract negotiations and maintenance of ongoing relationships with a variety of vendors, always driving for cost efficiencies.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and propose cost-effective improvements that can add business value.
  • Mentor and supervise team members and set goals and objectives.
  • Implement and manage the monitoring of the performance and capacity of all IT infrastructure, both on premise and off-site.
  • Establish and Manager a Security Management Strategy. Evaluate Risk and advise towards acceptable levels of risk in technology projects. Ensure that Security Controls within Business Process are in place and adequate.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Management in developing and maintaining Business Continuity Plans.
  • The IT Ops Manager actively supervises, manages, and coaches his/her team to deliver these services at the highest level of service. Plan and provide the infrastructure staff with the professional development, training and mentoring they need to be successful.

IT Infrastructure Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 or more years of successfully managing an Information Technology infrastructure staff.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with Microsoft O365 and Azure in a corporate environment is required. Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud services and administration.
  • Prior experience in IT technical operations, ITIL experience or certification is important; IT SOX Management and audit experience is desired. 5 to 8 years' experience supporting/managing technical operations of LAN, WAN, VoIP, wireless, VPN, etc.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present ideas in business- friendly and user-friendly language. Must have demonstrated leadership skills and influence capabilities.
  • 8+ years of progressive IT infrastructure administration, network engineering, network administration & support, IT security, and IT operations management.
  • Security certification and ITIL certification desired.
  • Must be dependable and team oriented.
  • Must be willing to conduct oneself in accordance with the client’s Core Values.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position will be hybrid at our client’s headquarters and may have the possibility for travel for training or visiting other client sites. 

Salary: $65-$75/hr. (DOE)
