IT Infrastructure Administrator II
Our client is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator II to join their technology team in supporting the day-to-day operations and long-term development of their infrastructure systems. This role is ideal for a motivated and hands-on professional with experience in Windows environments and Cisco networks, and who thrives on learning, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a collaborative IT culture.

This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon.

IT Infrastructure Administrator II Responsibilities

• Provide support, maintenance, and enhancement for network infrastructure, virtual and physical servers, and storage systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to systems, networks, and hardware across various sites.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and security, ensuring uptime, compliance, and proactive incident response.
• Assist in implementing network and system configurations, updates, and installations in line with project and operational needs.
• Collaborate with peers and external vendors on infrastructure upgrades and service delivery improvements.
• Document system designs, technical procedures, and internal best practices for knowledge sharing and continuity.
• Participate in disaster recovery processes, including data backup, replication, and system restoration efforts.
• Contribute to IT security through access control, firewall configuration, and vulnerability awareness.
• Stay current with technology trends and bring forward ideas or tools that improve infrastructure capabilities.
• Support a positive team environment by proactively learning and sharing insights with colleagues.

IT Infrastructure Administrator II Qualifications

• No degree required — candidates with a passion for IT and strong foundational experience are encouraged to apply.
• At least two (2) years of relevant hands-on infrastructure experience; more advanced candidates also welcome.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows server environments and Cisco networking equipment (routing, switching, VoIP, etc.).
• Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP are a plus but not required — demonstrated experience is more important.
• Exposure to virtualization platforms, storage solutions, and basic scripting (PowerShell or similar).
• Familiarity with system monitoring tools, documentation platforms, and IT ticketing systems.
• A learner’s mindset — self-motivated to research and experiment with new technologies.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude, with a desire to contribute and grow.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various sites as needed; occasional on-call responsibilities may apply.

Compensation: $52-$65/hr. (DOE)
