Inside Sales and Retention Specialist
This position is responsible for making outbound sales calls to current and prospective members to assist in making healthcare decisions and to promote Advantage as the plan of choice for dual-eligible beneficiaries. This position’s primary focus is on converting members from other company programs (Medicaid and marketing efforts such as direct mail). This position presents health plan benefits through a consultative sales approach while conducting such activities in a professional, ethical manner consistent with all state and federal Medicare regulations. This position also ensures the department meets growth targets by conducting outbound call campaigns, following up on opportunities, and fielding inbound telephone inquiries to achieve monthly and team annual sales goals. These sales activities may result in collection of a telephonic enrollment, scheduling an in-home appointment with a field agent, or fulfill an information request with a follow up call. This position will require telephonic sales skills that quickly achieve and maintain rapport with customers while providing the best possible member experience.
This is an onsite position.
Inside Sales and Retention Specialist Responsibilities:
Conduct outbound and receives inbound sales calls to qualify prospects.
Present plan benefits to prospective members with intent for enrollment in Advantage; may complete the sale telephonically or refer leads to outside sales representatives for in-home appointments and enrollment meetings.
Receive (by phone, website, or email) and respond to inquiries from prospective members about plan benefits and enrollment options.
Make calls to current members when plan changes are necessary due to eligibility changes with intent to continue enrollment in Advantage.
Collect telephonic enrollment applications adhering to strict Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Medicare Communication and Marketing Guidelines (Chapter 3).
Follow approved scripts for inbound calls, outbound calls, and telephonic enrollments.
Use CRM database to manage customer information and sales process; monitor, qualify and manage in-bound sales inquiries and leads; distributes leads as necessary to outside sales representatives via lead management system (Salesforce.com).
Remain up-to-date and familiar with competitor’s health insurance plans and industry trends.
Focus on production to achieve monthly sales goals as determined by management, and produce reports as required.
Work collaboratively with captive and independent sales representatives in respective territory to maximize opportunities to generate sales activities.
Work collaboratively cross departmentally, including Customer Service, Pharmacy, and Medical Management and Care Coordination teams.
Create prospective lists and implement a prospecting system.
Provide recommendations regarding the improvement of customer sales and retention tools and procedures.
Attend company and network functions.
Attend industry training and sales meetings.
Attend trade shows and health fairs which may require overnight travel.

Inside Sales and Retention Specialist Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in call center telesales, inside sales or related field.
State Insurance License for Health and Disability (must obtain state license within 60 days of employment).
Preferred
Experience in insurance sales and Medicare.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Knowledge
Knowledge of federal Medicare regulations, state Medicaid rules (OARs), and state insurance (DCBS) rules.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows.

Ability to adapt quickly to new and varied job tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to support sales and/or marketing teams.
Ability to maintain thorough knowledge related to products being sold.

Ability to accept direction and feedback, as well as tolerate and manage stress.
Ability to see and hear for at least 6 hours/day.
Ability to read and speak clearly for at least 3-6 hours/day.
Ability to perform repetitive finger and wrist movement for at least 1-3 hours/day.
Salary: $Salary: $48,544k-$72,816k/yr. (DOE)
