Firmware Engineer
Our client is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join their team in Vancouver, WA. This is the perfect role for someone who is highly organized, self-driven, decisive, and eager to pitch in and support the R&D, testing, manufacturing, and customer service functions. You will be responsible for developing, designing, and evaluating electronic systems for internal comm products and collaborating with the various Engineering teams to achieve the product goals. Responsibilities
Participate as a critical member of a cross-functional engineering project team.
Communicate directly or indirectly with customers in person or remotely to clarify requirements and concerns and provide project status updates.
Review or create firmware requirements targeting embedded systems.
Develop firmware algorithms and drivers for power control, USB communications, USB Type C Power Delivery, and UART communications packets.
Work closely with hardware engineers during initial board bring-up.
Conduct firmware/component level debugging and identify solutions to complex problems.
Troubleshoot firmware and hardware design issues as they arise.
GUI Design to support manufacturing test fixtures.
Optimize documentation processes within the organization.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science
Min 5 years of firmware development with consumer and/or industrial electronic products.
Proficient with Linux embedded development tools, commercial IDEs, and Realtime Operating Systems for ARM Based devices.
Proficient with the C/C++ language as well as Python and JavaScript.
Background with embedded Bootloaders and DFU utilities.
In dept. knowledge of ADC, DAC, I2C, I2S, LAN, UART, SPI, MMC, and USB peripherals found in ARM devices.
Operation of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads used during board bring-up or validation.
Understanding methods to create low level firmware required to validate circuit designs and embedded peripherals.
Proficient with MS software, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Salary:$90,000-$120,000  (DOE)
