EHS Specialist
Out client seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to help ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally friendly manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of EHS regulations, with a proven ability to implement and manage health, safety, and environmental programs. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to risk management in a fast-paced, manufacturing setting.

Due to the nature of this role and immediate business needs, we are only considering candidates currently residing in Mesa, Arizona and surrounding area.

EHS Specialist Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform facility audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and resolve hazards, ensuring alignment with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Track, report, and analyze safety and environmental data to meet KPIs and reduce workplace risks.
• Administer the Workers Compensation program and lead incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver training programs to employees, ensuring understanding and adherence to EHS protocols and regulatory standards.

EHS Specialist Qualifications

• 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience in risk management, injury/incident investigations, and implementing safety improvement initiatives.
• Associate degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is desirable.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.

Compensation: $65k–$90k (DOE)
