Director of Global Sales – Semiconductor
Our client is seeking a Director of Global Sales to join their team in the San Francisco Bay area.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the various team leaders to manage the following business functions:
Sales (inside, outside sales and partners).
Technical Support
Education & Training
Marketing (both internal and contracted resources).

Oversee the recruiting and professional development of all members of the sales teams to ensure skills and abilities are aligned with present and future needs.
Drive the annual performance review cycle as per QMS requirements, when applicable (direct reports).
Accountable of customer purchasing orders T&C compliance, as per QMS requirements.
Accountable of sales process improvement through business metrics, preventive, correction actions and process changes.
Support and promote Quality Management System culture throughout the RAD organization.
Coordinate, or manage cross-functional teams for the development of market-specific additional requirements and auxiliary products.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategically drive new business opportunities with Tier One Semiconductor Customers
Cultivate and nurture a professional and consultative relationship with the customer, at all levels including Executive Leadership, Engineering/R&D, Procurement, Marketing and Sales organizations, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the customer within their target markets/customers.
Take a leadership role and accountability in working with cross-functional teams to develop winning proposals and submissions (RFQs, RFIs, RFPs).
Generate new opportunities through existing relationships, lead-generation, and by scheduling and presenting at marketing events.
Negotiate terms/pricing/contracts and advance them to closure. Follow up on incoming leads, schedule and present in remote or onsite meetings.
Report key metrics (revenue and opportunity forecast, pipeline, opportunity status, challenges, and needs) accurately and in a timely manner.
Regular travel to customer locations and trade events (greater than 40% travel).

Required Skills/Abilities:
15+ years of experience selling semiconductor products into Tier one customers.
Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales quota targets.
Semiconductor X-Ray knowledge (XRF, XRD, XRR, T-SAXS etc…).
Demonstrated experience in closing large, solution-oriented opportunities.
Ability to influence, coordinate, navigate and motivate the range of internal/external influencers.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software.

Experience in business marketing/coordination and submission of winning proposals (RFQs, RFIs, RFPs), effective contract negotiations, appropriate/applicable interpretation of contract terms and conditions, issue identification, risk mitigation and ensuring post-win customer satisfaction.
Experience in proactively managing end customers, to include evangelizing a disruptive technology, prospecting, replacing an incumbent/competitor, and protecting the installed base.
Demonstrated expertise in specialty, consultative, solution selling and business development skills to align the customer's needs with our solution to drive sales and close deals.
Must be aggressive self-starter with strong relationship management and negotiation skills.

Salary: $100,000k-$250,000k/yr. (DOE)
