Director of Finance
Our mission-driven Portland client is looking for an experienced hands-on Finance Director to join their organization full-time! This is a collaborative leadership role requiring someone who is highly team-oriented, flexible, and proactive in leading accounting and finance functions while working with business leaders to maintain the organization’s wellbeing. This role is anticipating a hybrid schedule and requires qualified candidates to commute weekly to offices in Portland, Oregon.

Director of Finance Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar field; CPA required.
  • 5 years of related experience in a nonprofit organization involving state and federal grants.
  • Previous supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and MS Office including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively manage complex projects and meet competing deadlines.

Director of Finance Responsibilities

  • Oversee, train, and mentor accounting team members.
  • Lead month and year end processes ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Assess and manage cash flow, assets, and risks.
  • Develop and implement SOPs and internal controls.
  • Serve as point person for external audit and tax processes.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.

Salary: $110k-$130k (DOE)
