Controller
Our east Portland client seeks an upbeat Corporate Controller to join their team! The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, with a collaborative leadership style, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to financial reporting and compliance.

Controller Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage and mentor a small accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, including working closely with external auditors and resolving issues.
• Develop and implement internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize financial risks.

Controller Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required (Big 4 background a plus).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external auditors.
• Multi-site organization experience highly preferred.

Salary: $150k (DOE)
