Controller
Our growing property management client seeks an experienced Controller to grow with their organization. This role offers a growth path to become the next CFO and would be an excellent fit for someone who enjoys leading a small team in a dynamic work environment.
This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days a week onsite in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
Controller Responsibilities
- Oversee month and year end close processes ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Review accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records.
- Handle cash flow monitoring and financial reporting; present findings to owner.
- Manage and mentor accounting team members.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Handle payroll billing, review/payment of large invoices, and payment deposits.
- Monitor electronic banking transactions and clear daily check positive pay notifications.
- Oversee and manage the corporate VISA program.
- Manage annual audit.
- Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
Controller Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA a plus.
- At least 5 years in a Controller position.
- Exposure to property management, construction, or closely related field.
- Comfortable with Yardi and working in a paperless environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Deadline-driven with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Salary: $130k–$200k + Bonus (DOE)
