Civil Engineer IV
The Senior Technical Engineer functions as the Civil technical lead on dynamic multi-disciplinary project teams. Work tasks will be extremely varied and requires flexibility and versatility in the engineering field. Examples of the type of work to be performed include civil site design, environmental assessments and permitting, water resource management planning and design, minor structural design, performing facility condition assessments and capital asset management planning, performing detailed cost analyses and material take-offs of a variety of building types throughout the US and other countries; performing design engineering (plans, specs and cost estimates) for facility maintenance and repair projects, and performing construction management for ongoing construction efforts.
Essential Functions
Project Management for a team of multi-discipline engineers and designers. Responsible for schedule, budget, deliverables and technical oversight.
Technical Lead for the civil and environmental scope of work. Responsible for discipline-specific technical control while leading engineers and designers.
Design: pavement, foundations/equipment pads, solid waste, stormwater/hydrology, geotechnical, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection and transmission, solid waste, remedial action plan design
Construction Administration: vendor procurement, scheduling, commissioning, as-built drawings, stormwater pollution prevention plan, maintenance of traffic, topographic and boundary survey oversight, geotechnical site investigation and study, DEP/WMD Certification, pressure tests, bacteriological sampling, lift station startup, groundwater monitoring, and remedial action plan implementation.
O&M Engineering: hazmat and hazwaste management/compliance, site, and facility assessment, environmental and biological assessment, pavement and utility inspections, and solid waste
Facility condition assessments and capital asset management planning for structural, architectural and site infrastructure
Detailed cost analyses and material take-offs of a variety of building types throughout the US and other countries.

Qualifications
BS Civil Engineering degree required from an ABET-accredited program.
10+ years of professional Civil Engineering experience.
FE Certification required.
PE Certification required.
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail applications.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications.
Valid/Unrestricted FL driver license.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance.
Must be a US Citizen for Security Clearance requirements.
Active/Interim or ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance.
Work Environment
Some work is performed in an office environment.
Field investigations and construction support require regular trips to operating facilities and active construction sites.
Travel
The position is based out of Merritt Island, FL location. Willingness to travel to locations where work is to be performed (30-50% travel requirement).
Salary: $100,000-$80,000/yr. (DOE)
