Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Our rapidly growing retail client seeks a driven CFO to join their onsite team in Idaho Falls. This executive role will be instrumental in driving ambitious growth goals, both acquisitively and organically. Your involvement at both strategic and tactical levels will make you an invaluable member of the executive team!

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Collaborate with the CEO to identify initiatives for substantial improvement in financial performance and processes.
  • Facilitate collaboration across the executive team to achieve top-line revenue and profitability targets.
  • Create a culture of financial accountability throughout the organization.
  • Set strategic direction for developing short, mid, and long-range financial targets.
  • Monitor financial performance, provide detailed updates to key stakeholders, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee all financial processes to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
  • Create a financially responsible and data-driven culture across the organization.
  • Lead the Finance team in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Embrace a leadership role with accountability for performance and career development for team members.
  • Provide analytical support to the value creation plan, acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and PE firm. 
  • Interface with the Board on future company transactions and debt strategies.
  • Partner with the CEO and PE firm on executing strategic growth initiatives.

CFO Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
  • 10 years as a CFO leading financial functions for a multi-unit organization.
  • Proficiency in GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and producing timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Exposure to retail, inventory, distribution, or similar industry highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting and experience establishing key metrics and KPIs for real-time inventory management.
  • Prior M&A and/or PE experience a plus.
  • Proven experience in insurance and risk management.
  • Tech-savvy with ERPs to include enterprise-wide system conversions, financial reporting systems, and advanced Excel.
