Brightspot Technical Lead
Our client is seeking a Brightspot Technical Lead to guide the technical strategy and delivery of a new, high-visibility website initiative. This role will oversee end-to-end development on the Brightspot CMS platform, shape the architecture for a refreshed content experience, and lead exploratory work integrating emerging AI capabilities to enhance publishing workflows and site performance.

This role is fully remote.

Brightspot Technical Lead Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction, architecture, and implementation for a large-scale website refresh using the Brightspot CMS platform.
• Oversee custom Brightspot module and component development, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
• Drive innovation by prototyping and guiding the integration of new AI-driven tools to support content creation and delivery.
• Manage the full technical lifecycle from planning and development through deployment, optimization, and maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to translate requirements into technical strategies and implementation roadmaps.
• Review code, enforce best practices, and mentor developers to maintain high engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify risks, and proactively recommend improvements across the platform and related integrations.

Brightspot Technical Lead Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience developing and architecting solutions within the Brightspot CMS ecosystem.
• Proven background leading technical efforts for complex web builds, content migrations, or digital platform refreshes.
• Strong proficiency with Java-based CMS development, custom module creation, and API-driven integrations.
• Experience implementing or experimenting with AI-enabled features, content tools, or automation systems.
• Demonstrated ability to own technical delivery from concept through launch, including version control, CI/CD, and deployment workflows.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across product, design, and engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Compensation: $55-$73/hr. (DOE)
