Automotive Technician
Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician with a strong foundation in diagnostics and major vehicle repairs to join a high-performing dealership team. This role is ideal for candidates who are ASE Certified Master Technicians—or working toward it—and want to make an immediate impact in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. This role is onsite in Sandy, Oregon.
Automotive Technician Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and major repairs on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Troubleshoot complex systems such as transmissions, rear axles, and drivability concerns.
- Conduct full vehicle inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and parts departments to ensure timely, accurate repairs.
- Test drive vehicles to confirm the success of repair work.
- Keep thorough, accurate records of all work performed.
- Stay current on manufacturer technical bulletins and certifications.
- Adhere to safety and compliance procedures for shop operations and hazardous materials handling.
- Assist in mentoring and developing entry-level technicians to improve overall team capabilities.
Automotive Technician Qualifications
- 2+ years of automotive repair experience; advanced-level technicians strongly preferred.
- ASE Master Technician certification or progress toward certification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems.
- Must provide personal tools; tool allowance or bonus provided.
- GM, Chevy, or Ford experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
- Able to lift 50–80 pounds and meet the physical demands of the role.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
