Assistant Vice President, Accounting
Our client seeks a dynamic Vice President of Accounting to their leadership team. In this position, you'll play a key role in driving and managing financial policies, systems, and compliance with enthusiasm and expertise.
Assistant Vice President, Accounting Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and mentor the accounting team.
- Manage the general ledger, ensure accurate transaction recording, and assist with financial statements.
- Oversee daily cash management, prepare borrowing certificates, and develop financial controls.
- Develop policies, supervise inventory records, and review inventory reconciliations.
- Supervise compliance reporting, budgets, and provide support for the annual audit.
Assistant Vice President, Accounting Qualifications
- Active CPA required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 7 years in accounting leadership roles including at least 3 years of managing staff.
- Experience with physical inventory counts and reconciliations in a multi-state environment.
- Experience with auditors, banks, and attorneys.
- Advanced Excel skills and Sage 500 expertise preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Deadline-driven with the ability to effectively manage and delegate competing priorities.
Salary: Up to $135k + Bonus (DOE)
