Accountant – Construction
Our local construction client seeks a reliable full-time Construction Accountant to join their growing team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a stable and casual, family-oriented environment.
 
Responsibilities of the Accountant – Construction

• Prepare journal entries and account/statement reconciliations.
• Review orders and invoices for accuracy.
• Handle check runs.
• Prepare AP/AR and WIP reports.
• Set up new vendor and customer accounts.
• Create estimates and develop detailed budget outlines for projects.
• Process progress billings and track lien wavers.
• Support corporate tax activities.

 
Qualifications of the Accountant – Construction

• 2+ years of AP/AR experience in a high-volume environment.
• Must have exposure to construction accounting including job costing, WIP, and progress billing.
• Proficient with QuickBooks (Desktop preferred) and MS Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Team-oriented.

 
Salary: $65k+ (DOE)
