Accountant – Construction
Our local construction client seeks a reliable full-time Construction Accountant to join their growing team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a stable and casual, family-oriented environment.
Responsibilities of the Accountant – Construction
- Prepare journal entries and account/statement reconciliations.
- Review orders and invoices for accuracy.
- Handle check runs.
- Prepare AP/AR and WIP reports.
- Set up new vendor and customer accounts.
- Create estimates and develop detailed budget outlines for projects.
- Process progress billings and track lien wavers.
- Support corporate tax activities.
Qualifications of the Accountant – Construction
- 2+ years of AP/AR experience in a high-volume environment.
- Must have exposure to construction accounting including job costing, WIP, and progress billing.
- Proficient with QuickBooks (Desktop preferred) and MS Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team-oriented.
Salary: $65k+ (DOE)
