Senior Electrical Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senor Electrical Engineer to join their team. As a member of the Electrical Engineering Team, the associate is primarily responsible for exploring new product & technology ideas and product development including launching the product. He/she will use traditional research & development methods and newer collaboration methods to create innovative solutions and determine feasibility of product and technology concepts. During product development, he/she will concentrate on fast turning, multiple development cycles based on the proof of concept, including schematic design, layout work, prototyping and testing. The associate works closely with cross functional team members, establishes plans to complete work packages, develops and executes verification plans, and communicates results. Minimal supervision is required, and this position can provide guidance to other engineering team members.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support translating marketing requirements to technical requirements.
Define electrical architectures including mechanical interfaces.
Design circuitries, executing of spice simulations.
Select components based on technical requirements and budget;
Design PCBA’s including schematic, layout & BOM.
Define test plan for module & system tests.
Verify product function, assessing boundary conditions of solutions.
Create documentation & drawings for board fabrication & assembly.
Specify manufacturing test concept.
Research and explore new ideas.
Verify physics and engineering principles behind technology.
Clearly and effectively communicate to internal and external team members and stakeholders.
Work both individually and on a team.
Some international travel is required.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
5+ years of related industry experience.
Strong analog and mixed signal board level design skills.
Experience designing circuits for low level current and voltage measurement applications.
Lab equipment experience (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, LCR meter, etc.).
Knowledge of EMI/EMC design requirements and testing.
Capable of writing embedded C code for prototyping in early project stages & feasibility studies.
Strong problem-solving skills and accountability to drive issues to closure.
Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
System level design, integration, and testing experience.
Experience developing sensitive measurement equipment.
Knowledge and experience in electromagnetics, Fourier transform, signal integrity, waveform synthesis.
Familiar with machinery regulatory requirements (CE, Semi, etc.).
Ability to write own applications for testing using Python language, C#.
