Our Portland-based client is looking for a high energy and positive Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is extremely hands-on leading the day-to-day accounting functions while completing multiple projects with a variety of stakeholders of the company.
Remote work allowed from Oregon, Washington, or California.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities
Lead month-end close to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines.
Review journal entries and account reconciliations.
Verify general ledgers for accuracy.
Support auditing efforts with external auditors and business partners.
Assist with analysis, consolidations, SOX reporting, and schedules.
Evaluates processes and implements improvements.
Other special projects as needed.
Senior Accountant Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business; CPA preferred.
5+ years of GL accounting experience; knowledge with revenue recognition and/or fixed assets a plus.
Public accounting and experience with multi-entity corporations preferred.
Knowledge with accounting principles and regulations.
Experience using ERP systems; Intermediate Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Flexible and able to prioritize deadlines.
