Our client is looking for a full-time Accountant to join their team in the Portland area. This is a great opportunity to get on board with a longstanding company with a great reputation in the healthcare industry!

Responsibilities of the Accountant
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages.
Participate in presenting financial statements to board members and leadership. 
Support year-end audit requests and assist with financial statement preparation.
Prepare general ledger and journal entries.
Monthly account reconciliations for complex accounts.
Review and analyze data to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Perform trend and data analysis.
Support AP and cash activities, including reviewing and coding invoices.
Identify and suggest process improvements. 
Accountant Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role; Public accounting or healthcare industry experience a plus. 
Experience with reporting or audit highly preferred.
Proficient understanding of GAAP and internal controls processes.
Ability to interpret complex data with strong research and analytical skills.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
