Program Manager / BSA
Our client is seeking a Program Manager/BSA to join their team. This position supports a team that develops software prototypes and similar small-scale executions in order to solve manufacturing and design problems. Past solutions have been figuring out how to create machine code from design files, and how complex materials could be visualized in 3D. The selected candidate would ideally have digital experience in innovation or similarly exploratory stages and the capacity to manage with an open mind and flexible expectations.
In partnership with product directors, drive clarity for the objectives, milestones and other relevant tasks through completion, in order to keep the team focused and on track.
Embed with project teams to encourage, advocate and motivate in service of their efforts.
Manage team status report, presented weekly to Project Leadership
Help with strategic planning and develop power point presentations, process flowcharts & other communications as required
Deliver oral updates & presentations.
"Drives project feasibility analyses, with specific accountability to determine budget and resource requirements.
Assesses the business impact of different solutions, and can assess the tradeoffs between business needs, technology requirements and costs.
Within the context of the project(s), has autonomy to establish timelines and milestones, assign resources, and approve work output.
Projects will include:
Traditional software development, playing the role of product owner in some circumstances.
Software prototyping in service of more agile methods of vetting ideas sooner Familiarity with processes such as Agile, Design Thinking and User-centered Design preferred, as is the ability to work based on principles of these methods in the best interest of the project.
