Process Development Engineer
Our client is looking for a Process Development Engineer to join their team. The engineer will need high interpersonal skills to work with development engineers at the customer site and with the parent company. The engineer’s goal will be to develop and/or resolve newly developed process related issues. This position may require travel to support other customer site process issues, attend technical conferences, or additional training.
Process Development Engineer Responsibilities
Develops new or modified process formulations.
Defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications.
Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing.
Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods.
Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.
Support new equipment and process development and implementation at customer development sites.
Represent position in user meetings to support equipment and process issues.
Provide trouble shooting recommendations, and hands-on support when necessary.
Review documentation to assure accuracy and suggest improvements.
Process Development Engineer Qualifications
Master’s degree in related core sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Semiconductor Manufacturing or equivalent education and work experience.
4 years of experience in the field with thermal and/or plasma semiconductor equipment.
