Payroll Specialist  
Our client, headquartered in Portland, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. This a great opportunity to work with a close-knit tenured team with the opportunity to grow!

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities 
Process semi-monthly payroll, distributing paychecks, and direct deposits; journal entries and reconciliations.
Input employee status and payroll/benefits related updates
Complete garnishments and employment verifications including tax liens, tax reports, and child support.
Address payroll discrepancies and answer payroll-related inquires.
Reconcile and arrange payment for benefit bills.
Assist with federal and state tax filings.

Payroll Specialist Qualifications 
Associate degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related area preferred.
2 years’ in payroll and benefits administration experience.
Proficiency in MS Office including intermediate Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Prior experience with processing multi-state payroll and reporting.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
