On Call Technical Sample Producer

Our client is seeking an On Call Technical Sample Producer to join their dynamic team in Beaverton, OR. The nature of the work is focused on research and development of products from conception to retail to meet the needs of accounts and consumers.

On Call Technical Sample Producer Responsibilities:
Constructs and influences the construction of technically advanced prototype, promotional, or athlete specific products and/or components for development, testing.
Prepares, fabricates, and assembles materials and components using various types of systems, machinery, and hand tools including machines for cutting, sewing, lasting, buffing, and sanding. Evaluates and trouble shoots sample parts and products inspecting for quality and consistency through prototype or product specific assembly.

On Call Technical Sample Producer Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
Technical degree in engineering, manufacturing or related field preferred.
Product construction experience in one or more consumer goods including footwear, apparel, or equipment.
Understanding of manufacturing; knowledge of hand tools and other equipment and machinery used in construction; general knowledge of materials used in athletic performance products.
Inside Operations: May be required to perform a wide variety of physical tasks which are generally basic, repetitive, and routine in nature.
May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time, in addition to being required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, or pull.
May be frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel small and medium sized components while operating machinery and exerting force or lift up to 50 pounds. May be called upon to perform physical and quality checks requiring sufficient visual acuity to identify quality flaws and distinguish colors on small components.
May be required to work with toxic or caustic chemicals and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be required to work with or near large machinery and moving mechanical parts so they may be subject to higher noise levels, vibration, and there may be a risk of electrical shock.
