Lead DevSecOps Engineer
Our Portland client is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Engineer who understands modern digital security principles, industry security standards and architectures well and has hands on experience implementing compliance for those on cloud based infrastructure to power our startup business platforms. You could be an ethical hacker who wants to use your chops to help us. In this role, you will also be helping with shared DevOps needs for the different startup teams as well. Your will have opportunities to learn and use modern cloud based security technologies and use machine learning to improve security for our applications also.
Lead DevSecOps Engineer Qualifications
Someone who understands modern digital security principles, is knowledgeable in PCI DSS, NISP and other Industry Security standards and is passionate about new approaches to problem solving.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Related Engineering disciplines or Strong programming experience coupled with industry security engineer certifications through AWS, Microsoft, Cisco or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
At least 5 years of solid backend related Software Development experience including authentication, authorization and API security solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
Experience with AWS Cloud Based Development including technologies like Identity Access Management (IAM), Key Management Service (KMS) and CloudFront. Web Application Firewalls. Equivalent Azure experience will also be considered.
Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and latest secure software patterns.
Experience with Security tools that help with Intrusion Detection, Security Monitoring and Logging.
Working knowledge of continuous integration, continuous deployment, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests.
Experience with agile development methodologies.
Ability to understand technology deeply and required skill to dive in and debug issues.
