Our client is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join their dynamic team in Kalama, WA.
Junior Project Engineer Responsibilities:
Eventual responsibility for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.
Participate in equipment design, specification, and installation.
Eventual supervision of plant construction projects and tracking of project costs to assure budget is maintained.
Develop knowledge on and remain current on corporate, industry, and regulatory requirements as they relate to subjects such as safety, building codes, engineering directives, and environmental concerns.
Develop knowledge on all internally and externally driven training requirements.
Assist senior project managers with the various aspects of project management.
Junior Project Engineer Qualifications:
BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 2-5 years of relevant industrial manufacturing project management experience.
Knowledge of equipment and unit operations in a chemical plant environment preferred.
Commensurate with the required experience level, knowledge of process, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering principles, practices and methods; engineering economics; federal and state codes and regulations governing the operation of industrial facilities, environmental regulations, and workplace safety; engineering project management methods and techniques.
Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and works well independently or in a team environment.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels and across functional boundaries.
Must have demonstrated ability to use strong interpersonal skills and lead others toward desired results and continuous improvements.
Results-oriented individual with well-developed communication, organizational, and computer skills.
