The Integration Engineer will provide technical support for assigned applications; implementing and maintaining solutions that enable the organization to achieve its integration goals. The Integration Engineer will define how the data from our applications will be stored, consumed, integrated and managed by different data consumers. This position requires being adaptable to changing technology environments. Integration Engineer works collaboratively with all participants across software development projects to ensure high quality of integration applications.
Integration Engineer Responsibilities
Contribute to solving business problems by framing the problems, determining intended approach and quantitative methods, evaluating the analytical solutions to the problems, and deploying them to production.
Works with the product managers and business stakeholders in order to understand the business requirements that drive the implementation of clinical interface technical solutions.
Designs and implements HL7 interfaces and FHIR APIs using Mirth Connect.
Provides technical support for production interfaces and coded logic within the interface engine.
Tests, debugs, implements, and documents technical configuration.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the team and the entire organization
Integration Engineer Qualifications
2-5 years practical experience in providing technical support and maintenance of established product preferred.
Significant experience and firm understanding of API designs, working with RESTful, XML, and JSON.
Skilled in developing scripts that support the transformation of data to and from various messaging definitions.
Significant experience with the following HL7 architectures V2.x, C-CDA, and FHIR.
Experience with developing HL7 interfaces using Mirth Connect (or other EHR Interoperability Technology).
Ability to perform network diagnostics and/or knowledge of networking protocols.
AZURE experience preferred.
Experience working with EHR/EMR healthcare information systems and messaging will be highly considered above other candidates.
Strong motivation to create customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality end-user applications and by solving real problems for real users.
Self-starter able to work with little supervision.
Ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact.
Troubleshoot, analyze, diagnose and solve problems creatively.
Excellent documentation skills.
Communicate clearly to varied audiences in writing, by phone, and in person.
Must work well in fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
