The Human Resources Generalist focuses on employee/personnel projects, training, recruiting, performance management, and employee relations. Role involves conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and overseeing data management involving the maintenance and reporting of personnel records.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Assist employees with personnel information and interpretation of policies/procedures, provides benefit
updates and information and respond to requests for verification of employment.
Monitors and administers performance evaluation program by tracking completion of reviews, providing
managers with reminders and process guidance, while ensuring assessments and objectives are in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
Oversees recruitment efforts including drafting/updating job descriptions, managing postings, candidate
screening, interview coordination and preparation of offers.
Handles on-boarding new employees with new hire packages and conducting new employee orientation, maintains and revises new employee orientation documentation as needed.
Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
Handles documentation and communication relating to FMLA and STD claims.
Prepare and conduct personnel training relative to Human Resources policies and procedures.
Leads Wellness Initiatives, planning, coordination and recommendations.
Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
Other duties as requested.
College degree and 5 years’ experience in an HR administrative support role, HR Certification preferred.
Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Proficient in a variety of computer software applications involving word processing, spreadsheets,
database and presentations, MS Office in particular.
Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing
priorities and meeting deadlines.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple
competing tasks and demand.
