Our client is looking for a Grant Accountant to join their team. This organization offers excellent benefits, nice office space, and a relaxed team environment.
Responsibilities of the Grant Accountant
Ensure spending is within planned budgets and reimbursements and accurate for AP.
Set up new grants and distribute related documentation.
Maintain and submit grant reports and invoices.
Identify and resolve discrepancies.
Follow up to invoices to collect grant funds and closeout in the system.
Assist team members with general accounting duties (AP/GL/Payroll).
Monitor the organization’s compliance with grant regulations and requirements.
Support audit requests.
Qualifications of the Grant Accountant
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting highly preferred.
2+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit experience highly preferred.
1+ years’ experience with grant accounting.
Solid knowledge with GAAP and background with contracts and grant systems.
Proficient in using ERP systems.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
