As the DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, managing and the monitoring of the digital infrastructure. You will ensure that internal systems perform at their highest level in a cost-effective way.
You will collaborate with the engineering development teams to optimize our users’ experience with the internal applications. As a successful candidate, you will have strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting and collaboration skills to make our cross-functional teams successful. Above all, you must be obsessive about our digital business, customer experience and automating all things available.
Automate, automate, automate.
Manage and develop deployment infrastructure and processes, including CI and CD servers.
Ensure monitoring and alerting solutions are actionable and ready for rapid incident response.
Work with team to ensure security best practices are followed.
Work closely with our developers to keep system dependencies lean and up to date and identify CVEs.
Manage access to all cloud infrastructure.
Maintain and define technical infrastructure.
Work with and manage 3rd-party vendors/agencies to ensure optimal performance of digital products.
Work with engineering and business teams to architect solutions and advise on implementation and performance impact.
Be available to support and resolve production outages.
Mentor, skill-up redundant resources.
Develop and implement a strategy for automatic fail-over infrastructure.
Skills & Requirements:
3+ years of professional hands-on experience managing production environments in GCP.
Strong experience in configuration and release management.
Deep understanding of git.
Knowledge of continuous delivery and continuous integration techniques and technologies (e.g. Gitlab CI, BitRise, Travis, etc.).
3-years of experience with containerization using technologies such as Kubernetes.
Expertise with monitoring, logging, security, data integrity, concurrency, and other issues and practices related to distributed systems.
Experience with caching strategies.
Experience with database configuration and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.)
Takes performance into consideration at every phase of design and development.
Experience with load testing, performance testing, penetration testing, and integration testing.
