Field Service Engineer
Our client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team. This Field Service position, located in the US on the East Coast, requires the candidate to demonstrate the full range of Service disciplines for complex equipment and systems by performing the following duties. The selected candidate must be able to travel 60-70% of the time, regionally and internationally.
Field Service Engineer Responsibilities
System installation diagnose and repair laser, electromagnetically and optical sub assemblies.
Maintain operational functionality of system equipment.
Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
Serves as company interface with customer and factory on administrative and technical matters.
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
Other duties may be assigned and could include shift, weekend and on-call coverage.
USA and International travel is a requirement for customer support and for training on our products.
Field Service Engineer Qualifications
Associate’s degree, or equivalent; with minimum of 5 years of related industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree and/or applicable Certification is preferred.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent phone and computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Strong business, analytic, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Motivated, self-driven, positive approach to problem solving.
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high tech environment.
Regional or international travel required, sometimes on short notice in support of internal system installations.
Requires appropriate work authorization to freely enter and exit primarily Asia Pacific countries. We are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we will not sponsor employment visas.
Travel may be expected up to 60% to 70% of the time.
