Engineering Support Specialist
This position provides technical support to engineers across a variety of engineering disciplines. Conducts analysis to include mathematical calculations. Researches applicable standards, regulations and design criteria. Develops technical recommendations. Formats, compiles and manipulates technical data such as laboratory or material test and performance results. Produces engineering documentation, reports and drawings to include flow charts, block diagrams, schematics and technical aids. Conduct tests and records engineering evaluation data. Completes a wide variety of engineering technical data requests and process documents. Investigates and resolves technical issues. Coordinates and conducts technical reviews.

Engineering Support Specialist Responsibilities
Support Advanced Development projects, including prototype builds.
Assist with preparation and execution of test plans, and analysis of results.
Perform status tracking for projects.
Conduct data analysis and prepare reports.
Support collection and analysis of metrics.

Knowledge:
Required
General knowledge of engineering principles or technical job experience.
Technical background.

Preferred
General knowledge of Project Management practices.
Configuration management of Engineering Bills of Material (BOMs).
Design Engineering processes.

Skills:
Required
Data collection, organization, and analysis.
Technical writing for work instructions and reports.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications.
Plan, conduct and record meetings, and follow through with action item owners.

Preferred
Physical materials assembly and fabrication.
Project Management experience.
Scrum Master experience.

Abilities:
Coordination of inter- and intra-team activities/assignments.
Manage task lists.
Learn / adapt quickly.
Communicate effectively in person and via written formats (e.g. email / text).
Self-starter who actively seeks information from multiple sources to achieve solutions.
Problem solving.
Work effectively in an environment with multiple objects, tasks, and deadlines.
Teamwork.

Engineering Support Specialist Qualifications 
Associates Degree and 3+ years of related experience, technical AS degree preferred.
