Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer 
Are you an Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer  looking to play an important role in the validation of new products? We have a 12 month consulting project for a world class manufacturing company located in Portland, OR! We are looking for a talented Engineer to join the test operations team and interact with all aspects of the organization, including design, test, marketing, manufacturing, and procurement to ensure they deliver quality products that meet customer requirements and acceptance. Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer Responsibilities
Conduct test plans (DVP&R, cycle tests, durability tests) for functional systems testing.
Instrument and test new systems and components, both on and off vehicle.
Design/Develop required test apparatus and fixtures.
Identify and resolve development issues working closely with Design groups and suppliers.
Maintain accurate records for all system/component test input/outputs.
Troubleshoot field/service issues.
Maintain a list of work priorities and appropriately schedule people/resources to ensure on-time completion while providing guidance to technicians and mechanics.
Communicate both verbally and through written reports.

Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer Qualifications
BS/MS in Engineering with 2 or more year’s work experience in an engineering field.
Knowledge/skill in automotive, industrial equipment, materials handling, agricultural or similar vehicle technologies.
Knowledge/skill in drafting practices, CAD, engineering analysis, design layouts.
Highly motivated with solid leadership skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
Desire for ‘hands on’ work in a shop environment a must and ability to operate lift trucks.
Excels in innovative thinking, troubleshooting, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.
Desire for ‘hands on’ work in a shop environment is a must.
Experience interpreting engineering drawings (components, weldments, hydraulic and electrical schematics).

Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Practical understanding of machining practices, manufacturing methods and tolerances.
Experience with Data acquisition systems such as SOMAT EDAQ, Vector CANalyzer including knowledge of CAN communication.
Practical understanding of machining practices, manufacturing methods and tolerances.
Experience in a product development environment.
