We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our clients engineering team and help build a positive service experience for their internal and external customers. This position provides technology direction to manage projects, integrate electrical systems and components for power, locking and access control on primarily mechanical products. The Electrical Engineer must design and validate products, identify root cause, reduce cost, eliminate defects and scrap as well as facilitate business growth.
Lead electrical engineering initiatives, provide technology direction and manage projects within budget and timeline constraints.
Ability to design and troubleshoot all aspects of Analog and Digital circuits.
Solid working knowledge and experience with Electronic schematic software as well as PCBA layout software.
Experience with Firmware design for embedded systems including serial communication, displays, user interface and sensor integration.
Integrate products using USB/serial or wireless methods to computer systems for control and monitoring.
Design products to comply with EMC regulations as well as coordinate and conduct EMC testing.
Develop product specifications and test plans for electrical and electromechanical assemblies.
Comfortable doing research, testing concepts, and creating technology briefs.
Interact with Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineers to develop complex electromechanical assemblies.
Project management experience using the Product Realization process.
Process improvement initiatives to eliminate defects and waste.
First article reviews and approval of components for manufacturing approval.
Generate efficiencies through ongoing design improvement, component consolidation and cost reductions of existing product lines.
BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2+ years of industry experience.
Printed circuit board assembly/design.
Demonstrated experience in electronic hardware and firmware design.
Ability to solve problems independently and manage the workload of multiple projects and tasks.
Ability to work cross functionally, explain designs and concepts to others with different backgrounds/experience.
Flexible with design iterations and changes in direction.
Strong team skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external groups as part of various initiatives.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management and communication skills.
Electronic schematic software.

Demonstrated expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
