Director of Technology Operations
Our client is looking for a Director of Technology Operations to join their team in Beaverton, Oregon. 

As a direct report to the Vice President of Technology, you will be responsible for the Technology Operations department. You will provide leadership for systems administration, security, helpdesk, telecom, networking, and issue resolution for mission-critical applications and internal business systems.

Director of Technology Operations Responsibilities 
Take ownership of availability and reliability for our production environment.
Ensure that we have the right people, tools and processes to create a world-class technology operations organization.
Build solid relationships with key internal stakeholders and be seen as the go-to leader regarding system quality.
Drive the adoption and implementation of robust security practices.
Be responsible for change management to ensure that deployments are well understood and planned appropriately.
Take a proactive approach to capacity planning.
Ensure compliance with standards such as PCI and Sarbanes-Oxley.
Maintain budgetary oversight for the tools and systems used to run the business.
Run an IT helpdesk that gives our employees the equipment and support they need to stay productive.
Manage hardware and software vendor relationships.

Director of Technology Operations Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience leading a Technology Operations organization.
Proven track record of building and managing high performance teams.
Experience running complex, mission-critical infrastructure, including: hundreds of servers (virtual and physical), local and remote data centers, and cloud-based environments such as AWS.
Experience deploying and utilizing advanced monitoring services (such as New Relic).
Experience managing a large budget for IT and infrastructure spending.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable getting into technical details and able to translate and simplify for non-technical audiences.
Curious and forward thinking, always looking to learn new things and share them with others.
