Director of Financial Operations, Planning, and Analysis
Our Hillsboro client is looking for a Director of Financial Operations, Analysis and Planning. In this role you will be part of a highly visible, strategic team focused on aligning strategic objectives with tactical budgetary and resource demands. You will support the growth of the Enterprise Platform team and will be empowered to deliver impactful business analysis that will drive insightful business decisions and strategy. By way of best in class management reporting, diligent analyses, and strategic modeling, the Financial Operations Planning & Analysis Program Manager plays a key role in partnering with Global Technology business unit and informing leadership of actual and projected performance, as well as analyzing trends, changes, and new initiatives in a fast-paced and highly collaborative, cross-functional environment. You will be empowered to drive improvements in the quality of our work as the team grows. Director of Financial Operations, Planning, and Analysis Responsiblities
You will be responsible for engaging across the 300+ employees and managers of the Global Enterprise Platform team as they accelerate new digital capabilities in support of our Consumer Direct Offense.
You will collaborate with technology business and finance leaders to provide critical insights and guidance into our complex and dynamic global technology investment portfolio. Having direct accountability for Enterprise Platforms multimillion-dollar annual budget.
Will partner with EAP leadership in the three-year strategic and annual planning processes to assist with forecast and scenario planning.
Will define/create budget management processes to ensure they are consistent across Enterprise Platforms ever growing portfolio of Platforms, Product and Services.
Manage and maintain operating budgets that incorporate strategic business plan objectives and appropriate assumptions.
Develop a center of analytical excellence to support financial discipline and thoughtfulness throughout Enterprise Platforms.
Enable better decision making by streamlining operations to deliver deeper analysis on faster timelines.
Lead the annual operating budget process, track and report on performance relative to plan, and manage ongoing rolling forecast updates.
Deliver timely, accurate, and effective analysis and reporting of financial and operational performance metrics.
Track performance relative to budgets, forecasts, and performance targets.
Identify and monitor significant trends and variances, including in expenses, headcount, forecast, etc.
Proactively inform senior leadership of any observations and provide insightful suggestions for improvement.
Create ad-hoc analyses to drive strategy, improve efficiency, and maximize ROI.
Build and iterate on complex financial models covering all aspects of Enterprise Platforms operations that will enable effective decision-making regarding revenue growth strategy, cost structure, and capital deployment.
Collaborate with Enterprise Platforms leadership team on scoping/scaling strategic projects and assessing investment decisions.
You will partner to enable and influence strategic initiatives that help transform and optimize end-to-end business and technology processes.
You will be part of the Enterprise Platforms global program management team, interacting daily with the other essential functions of the program teams.
Your ability to operate in a very dynamic environment and work effectively with a variety of global stakeholders will be crucial. Aligning our investment strategy across Global Technology and all ten technology domains.
You will need a strategic mindset, a bias toward action and change, and a commitment to execution.
You must have the ability to build strong relationships with teammates and work cross-functionally to ensure success of our long-term vision.
Will participate in discussions and initiatives across departments and provide input into the Global Technology planning processes.
Will evaluate and monitor monthly progress against budgets and targets, and work with managers to ensure accountability. This includes monitoring that resource capital is efficiently and effectively being used.
Will drive forecasting and performance management of current fiscal year performance, proactively keep management informed of results, and lead course correction actions when necessary.
Establish and maintain best practices and standardized frameworks related to budget management; including for example tools and operational processes, collaboration, knowledge management, resource planning, vendor management, and dashboards.
Will assist in the development and enhancement of financial planning and analysis tools and systems necessary to facilitate on demand modeling, forecasting and planning.
Define, implement and monitor metrics and KPIs to report project’s financial status and ensure ongoing strategic financial alignment with short and long-term business objectives.
Will create investment prioritization and review framework to ensure that expected return on investment are achieved and deliver on strategic goals.
Will leverage industry leading commerce metrics to institute key performance indicators (KPI) based on performance review and analysis of results.
Will proactively develop insights to highlight and influence priorities; deliver timely and relevant analyses to support decision making and catalyze action across the team.
Will interpret and distribute financial results with engineering managers, including trends, issues, and opportunities in order to drive actionable responses.

Director of Financial Operations, Planning, and Analysis Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA preferred.
5-7 years’ experience leading the financial management process and budgets across large-scale departments/programs.
Significant experience working with a Fortune 1000 company on near term budget operations and long-term financial strategies.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on technology products or projects.
Experience in creating and automating dashboards, standard reports, scorecards, ad-hoc reports, and data visualization that provide key business insights.
Knowledge of BI tools, database structure, and programming languages (preferred).
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Highly proficient in financial analysis and model building.
Deep understanding of budget metrics and KPI’s.
Proven track record of being results orientated with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals.
Proven presentation skills.
Demonstrated success reporting to executive leaders to influence decision making.
Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others.
Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
Experience working in a highly matrixed organization.
Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once.
