Design Strategist
As part of our client’s innovation team, this position contributes to the agile research, prototyping and/or design of omni-channel product offerings and/or features central to strategic goals, with emphasis on the end-to-end customer journey. Deliverables will focus on multiple business lines. Projects may be specialized in research/strategy or design.

Design Strategist Responsibilities
Develop, run, analyze, and interpret qualitative and/or quantitative research insights related to customer experience and/or use resultant data to create collateral demonstrating insights.
Develop, conduct, and/or lead workshops, presentations, and other communications to share findings with various groups within the firm, ranging from department colleagues to executives.
Conceptualize and/or design pro-types, models, storyboards, journey-maps, animations, and other instruments to demonstrate and/or test suggested changes to products.
Contribute to or lead improvements in operational efficiency by designing process flows and/or other tools that speed go-to-market timing and reduce waste.
Collaborate with a diverse team of colleagues to visualize the end-to-end customer journey and create deliverables needed by product managers.
Serve as a department expert on innovation practices, including human-centered design and customer experience, within the banking industry.
Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities -- knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
Follows all policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
Maintain a working knowledge of written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the corporate culture in all actions and words.
Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Design Strategist Qualifications
Associate, vocational, or technical degree, required.
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, experience design, environmental design, human-centered design, service design, or social sciences, preferred.
5-7 years of experience with design research (in-house or external consulting) and/or graphic design, experience design, environmental design, or service design.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch.
Extensive written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and project management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with sometimes complex and ambiguous information.
Proven track record of independently owning projects from start to finish.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company and with vendor partners to achieve positive outcomes.
Extensive marketing and product development concepts and practices, product lines and potential applications, and customer requirements.
