Our client is hiring a Delivery Manager for their team in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Expertise in the function of Release Management, implementation, and program delivery.
Executes Release Management processes for the organization.
Schedules, coordinates, and manage releases across digital and/or technology platforms that may include applications, middleware, hardware and infrastructure.
Driving effective delivery framework and governance across multiple teams and geographies.
A deep understanding and ability to manage all change activity from planning through testing, to deployment.
Risk management, contingency planning for individual or multiple releases of any size.
Work with support and operations teams to ensure what is delivered to production is production ready and supported from delivery to stabilization.
Work and communicate effectively at multiple levels within the organization through written and verbal communications, both formal and informal.
Partner closely with product, program, quality, release engineering, engineering and technology partners to continually improve release processes, achieve efficiencies, and deliver a quality product on time.
Drive to a global release cadence that defines the cycles, structures, and required oversight to deliver products and experiences to production.
Define and publish key metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness of releases as well as areas of improvement for the Release management framework.
Partner closely and continually with product, program, quality, engineering, support, and release teams to align on scope, release cadence, delivery and support requirements.
Partner with the business and IT stakeholders to drive release scheduling decisions.
Provide status reports to key internal/external stakeholders.
Provide visibility of scheduled releases to stakeholders.
Manage go/no-go, decision checkpoint, and retrospective meetings with release stakeholders.
Manage execution of release activities from production release through release stabilization".
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field; 2+ additional years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
Has developed a deep understanding and practical application of standard release process(s), agile methodologies and technical capabilities (including agile – lean, continuous delivery).
Expertise working with teams who use development and deployment automation tools in the software development and deployment lifecycle.
Demonstrated skills in delivering technology to production across multiple teams in an agile framework.
Demonstrated ability to influence across an organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating to a wide range of stakeholders including senior management, executive leadership, and technical teams.
Experience delivering (applications, middleware, infrastructure, hardware, continuous delivery) from pre-production to complex production environments.
Proven track record of implementing effective processes and continuous improvement.
Experience Continuous Integration/Delivery is preferred.
Experience operating in a continually transforming, fast-paced, complex, high visibility environment with multiple competing priorities.
Deep understanding of release management processes; understanding of environment management.
Strong analytical experience including defining Key Performance Indicators, Operational Level agreements and experience dealing with vendor Service Level Agreements and integrating into delivery / release management processes where applicable.
