Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team in Wilsonville, OR. They are looking for a Data Engineer to help build out analytic solutions. This role requires a close working relationship with our data science team (analysts and machine learning engineers) who will be the customers for your data wrangling efforts.
Strong relational database and SQL skills.
Minimum 1-3 years working regularly with a database system such as Microsoft SQL Server (other systems are fine). This experience should include advanced skills such as T-SQL, stored procedures, creating views, query performance optimization, indexing, etc.
Ability to decipher third party database designs and create complex queries based on that understanding.
Ability to build ETL processes to transform data.
Ability to create basic automation scripts to manage data processes.
Basic database administration to support the database tasks
Be able to work largely autonomously in an agile environment while having the support of a great nearby team.
Version control experience (e.g. git).
Serious about testing and building high quality software systems.
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
BS in computer science.
General programming experience, including web or application development, back-end integrations, etc.
Experience managing cloud services via multiple interfaces (console, SDK, CLI).
