Customer Service Specialist
This position provides customer order and technical services support by directing calls, answering routine technical questions, and taking orders as appropriate. Incumbents also process equipment parts orders and modifications, research customer questions, and prepare various reports.

Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities
Works closely with Customer Service Reps, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to ensure accuracy and timeliness of customer orders.
Processes and configures equipment and component orders following established guidelines, routinely researches information to ensure accuracy of product orders, and creates/modifies reports as necessary.
Posts records, prepares schedules, and occasionally compiles reports and special studies to verify and ensure accuracy in ordering procedures.
Documents processes and order notes as necessary and maintains a variety of files.
Occasionally writes up change orders and may provide basic product and/or price information to customers.
Processes and maintains confidentiality of information, referring information requests outside the normal guidelines to area supervisor or manager. Also expected to maintain an acceptable dependability level and must not pose a risk to self or others.

Customer Service Specialist Qualifications
Generally requires approximately 3+ years of related administrative experience with expertise in using basic computer software applications.
Ability to build strong customer relationships and convey a positive image of the company.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions and troubleshoot problems when necessary.
Requires fundamental mathematical and analytical skills to compile reports, spot inconsistencies, and understand the business impact of results. Must also have the ability to maintain accurate accounting records.
Demonstrated ability to work both on a team and independently, using judgment to shift priorities as necessary.
Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality, track progress on project work, and must possess strong organizational skills.
