Our client is seeking a Copywriter to join their dynamic team in Beaverton, OR. The Copywriter will inject editorial life into experiences, athlete stories, products, and branding through digital platforms. As the copywriter, you’ll write inspiring editorial and marketing messaging that speaks to several key moments across .com, email, apps, and performance marketing, and drives readers to connect with the brand in multiple ways through its athletes and products.

A strong and approachable editorial storyteller.
Be able to create interesting ways that connect sports narratives to the products they’re trying to sell.
Well versed in writing clear stories and thoughtful headlines that are authentic to sport and athletes.
Collaborative and good at receiving and giving critical feedback in a constructive, open, active, empathetic way.
Technically proficient in English grammar, syntax, structure, etc.
Passionate about sports writing, sneakers, and sportswear.
We’ll expect you to:
Write intelligent copy informed by project briefs, a specific campaign, athlete interviews, and business goals.
Nail tight deadlines.
Ask questions and deliver an editorial-first approach to the stories you’re asked to create.
Edit, collaborate with designers and present to stakeholders.
Keep stories on-brand and consistent in style, quality, tone of voice, and user experience.
A substantive writing portfolio demonstrating both your creative process and your written work for real-world clients.
3–5 years of professional and project-based copywriting experience, of which no fewer than 2 years should be writing for an ad agency, editorial publication or creative studio.
Not required, but a background in journalism or editorial storytelling would be extremely beneficial.
Experience and passion writing for an active lifestyle, sports, and outdoor brands.
Attention to message, detail, quality, organization, and time management in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with the design process, critiques, and design thinking.
