Our client, a local agricultural organization, is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee daily accounting functions. This role works with a tight-knit accounting team and is highly collaborative partnering with company leaders.
Responsibilities of the Controller
General ledger accounting duties.
Manage fixed asset and depreciation records.
Track and reconcile physical inventory counts to accounting records.
Manage operating and capital lease schedules.
Maintain accounting and customer invoicing.
Assist with closing processes.
Manage regulatory filings, records, and annual audits.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
Assist in special projects as necessary.
Qualifications of the Controller
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; CPA or CMA a plus.
5+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing or agricultural background a plus.
Heavy inventory experience preferred with a solid understanding of GAAP.
ERP systems experience or similar accounting software.
MS Office Suite experience, with proficiency in Word and Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Great organizational skills and attention to detail.
