Our Vancouver client is seeking a Controller to join their team. This company has been serving the west coast for 20+ years providing solutions to make businesses more efficient. The ideal candidate is adaptable to changing environments while looking for ways to improve processes.   

Controller Responsibilities
Maintain AR, AP, and payroll functions. 
Prepare and record journal entries, reconciling month-end balances. 
Assist with collecting on delinquent accounts. 
Verify transactions have proper approvals.
Code expenses for proper categorization and in the correct period.
Collect payroll timesheet data and assist with benefits administration.
File business & occupation and sales/use tax reports.
Support insurance renewals; maintain current COI’s and worker’s compensation.
Prepare annual budgets and budget vs actual reporting and variance analysis.

Controller Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
3+ years of accounting experience including intercompany AP/AR functions. 
Strong knowledge of US GAAP. 
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop a plus. 
Intermediate Excel skills. 
Excellent communication skills. 
Highly flexible with a self-starter attitude.
