Responsibilities of the Controller
Oversee accounting and finance functions.
Supervise the accounting team.
GAAP, nonprofit regulatory, governmental, and tax compliance.
Lead the continuous development and implementation of accounting and finance policies, best practice, internal controls, and processes.
Financial forecasting and reporting to management and stakeholders.
Monthly and annual financial statement review.
Coordinate audit processes.
Ad hoc projects as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.
8+ years progressive accounting experience and experience managing a team.
Non-profit experience a plus.
MS Office Suite experience, with advanced skills in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
ERP systems knowledge; Sage preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
