Our public works client in Beaverton is looking for a Controller to manage their accounting team. This role is a great opportunity to step into leadership with a company that offers great benefits.
Responsibilities of the Controller
Oversee accounting department.
Manage financial reporting.
Develop, train, and mentor accounting and finance staff.
Monitor financial data gathering efforts.
Lead the continuous development and implementation of accounting and financial reporting policy, best practice, internal controls, and process improvements.
Manage audits and schedules.
Develop financial tracking tools and reports.
Assist with employee benefits programs.
Other special projects and duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting; CPA required.
7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, with experience in a supervisory role.
Advanced knowledge of financial analysis.
Investment management experience.
Knowledge of GAAP, as well as purchasing and budget law.
MS Office Suite experience, with advanced skills in Excel and Word.
ERP systems knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Organized multitasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
