Reporting to the CFO, a global company with North American HQ in Portland is seeking a Controller as the result of significant company growth. Responsibilities of the Controller
Oversee month-end, quarterly and annual closing.
Ensure GAAP and IFRS compliance.
Lead the continuous development and implementation of accounting policy, best practice, and process improvements.
Revenue recognition.
Budgeting and forecasting.
Manage financial reporting.
Account reconciliations.
Oversee general ledger functions.
Manage fixed assets. 
Capital expenditures and budgeting.
Approve and expense employee travel.
Maintain banking relationships.
Serve as liaison with international parent company business partners.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of accounting staff.
Other special projects and duties as assigned.

Controller Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
6+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience with supervisory experience; global or public accounting background preferred.
Advanced knowledge of GAAP and IFRS compliance.
MS Office Suite experience, with skills in Excel and Word.
ERP systems knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Organized multitasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
