Consumer Merchandising Manager
Our client is seeking a Consumer Merchandising Manager for their team in Beaverton, Oregon. As Consumer Merchandising Manager, you support the Consumer team to deliver on key merchandising strategies across all territories and channels. You will drive BU assortment strategies and direction focused on consumer needs and expectations, partnering with consumer merchandising, territory and marketplace merchandising, and marketplace unit teams, to ensure a productive, profitable, and harmonized line across the organization. You will contribute in driving the Mens Lifestyle one team philosophy through partnering with the teams to deliver well-informed assortments to the APLA consumer. You will drive the communication related to Mens Lifestyle product assortments to all stakeholders to ensure a consistent, premium consumer experience. You will own Consumer product assortments, distribution recommendations & seasonal flow of stories, while serving other teams.

Align cross-functionally to represent the category vision and the geo point of view when completing seasonal Marketplace Insights.
Create Edited Offers & Product Priorities for each Channel of IMP, to meet financial targets .
Define segmentation, differentiation and harmonization balance across IMP.
Define seasonal flow and capsule strategy by Channel and Level of IMP.
Drive seasonal geo/territory forecasts, partnering with DP & IMP.
Collaborate with X-functional teams in CSR/QBR and seasonal targets definition.
Proactively manage marketplace risks & opportunities, partnering with other functions.
Deepen Consumer connection thru digital market research & territory consumer insights.
Drive seasonal merchandising meetings and key gates: E2E, PRO, Product Download, GSA.
Support seasonal meetings: MPR, KAPM, T2Ts.
Select BU KAPM and GTM samples.
Creates edited offers for the Category BU line, specific to APLA.
Sets Category BU seasonal assortment strategies within APLA.
Provides recommendations for E2E line planning and seasonal line planning decisions based upon Consumer Led Capacity, efficiency targets, and KPIs.
Helps DPM team determine allocation strategies for capacity constrained products within Geo.
Makes recommendations/approves post-PRO and post-SIM additions (Geo/Global Express Lane).
Deliver and participate in the key corporate gates and game-plan deliverables.
Drives integration and close collaboration with the rest of the APLA merch team, APLA DPM, Global Merch and other Consumer partners.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or additional 2 years of experience in lieu of degree.
At least 5 years of experience in merchandising, product creation, assortment planning, and or retail, in a vertical, digital, or wholesale environment.
Business experience across multiple and diverse territories or geos a plus.
Proficiency in retail and profit-based metrics.
A keen understanding of the consumer and marketplace.
A keen eye and interest in product and trends with consumers, retail, sport, and fitness.
An ability to employ retail acumen and proven storytelling capabilities and presentation skills.
An ability to respond with speed, agility, and flexibility.
Works well as an individual as well as within a team to deliver.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, KeyNote.
Systems experience in AV and MMX.
