Our client is looking for a Communication Specialist to join their team. The Communication Specialist engages in broad internal/external communication projects to support organization-wide programs and initiatives, and assists with developing consistent, clear messaging to all audiences. In collaboration with department leadership and teams, the specialist performs various communication tasks and functions to support the strategy, planning and delivery of communication efforts.
Communication Specialist Responsibilities
Proven ability to work independently writing, creating and implementing high-quality communication plans, messaging and copy, and story development that meets company standards.
Provide ongoing strategic communication counsel and support. Ensure alignment of organizational and region/service area/ministry messaging and communication programs.
Support assembly and delivery of information and messaging to caregivers and other audiences. Monitor and improve on an ongoing basis.
Work closely with marketing and communication leadership at the system and regional level to align and coordinate messaging and positioning across audiences.
Support budget and invoice management and tracking, perform to budget and goals.
Communication Specialist Qualifications
2 years demonstrated experience in communication, preferably healthcare required.
Communication experience in health care preferred.
Demonstrated experience in developing communication programs and business relationships.
Demonstrated experience working in highly matrixed and geographically dispersed organizations and teams.
Demonstrated writing and editing excellence.
Demonstrated healthcare experience.
Knowledge of integrated health care and communication practices.
Ability to work collaboratively across a diverse, matrixed marketing and communication team to ensure messaging and programs are delivered quickly, consistently and powerfully across multiple channels and locations.
Ability to drive practice powerful messaging in support of brand position.
Agility and flexibility in coordinating multiple high-level projects, and just-in-time issues and work assignments.
