CMM Programmer/ Quality Inspector
Our client is seeking a CMM Programmer/ Quality Inspector to join their team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Create, develop, edit, and implement CMM programs on completed assemblies and component parts using 3D models and 2D drawings.
Measure dimensions such as angles, length, height and distance between reference points using precision equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gages, and/or CMM to ensure product specifications.
Work closely with Quality Engineers to perform First Article and nonconformance investigation inspections.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and quality personnel as needed on technical issues.
Maintain and order equipment to maintain the CMM including styli, fixturing and other necessary equipment with the approval of manager.
Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
Ability to use various inspection tools to complete inspections.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
Familiar with conventional dimensioning and tolerancing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASMEY14.5.
Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
Experience using Mitutoyo MCOSMOS software.
ASME GD&T certification.
Education & Experience.
5+ years of CMM programming experience.
